Frank Malta
Frank Malta began working with MATR in 2013 after attending several courses in the student role over a number of years. The MATR instructors recognized Frank’s knowledge, skills, and passion for the craft and he was asked to join our staff. Frank works full time for the Frederick County, Maryland Fire and Rescue Department where he currently has over 17 years on the job. He currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief, but was previously a Captain and the Station Commander of Fire Station 2, a busy engine and rescue company in the downtown area of the City of Frederick. Prior to that, Frank worked as a Lieutenant on 2 of Frederick County’s busiest Heavy Rescue’s, Rescue 3 (also located in the downtown area of the city) and Rescue 15 which sits along Interstate 70 on the south eastern end of the county. Frank is also an instructor for the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute and the Frederick County Fire and Rescue Training Academy. Frank resides near the City of Frederick with his wife and daughter. |
