MATR Instructors
This part of our web-page was a long time in the making and I apologize for the lengthy delay. This page is being posted in January of 2019, almost 10 years after our inception and probably 5-6 years since this web-page was created. I am extremely proud of each of our instructors for the tremendous amount of work they have put into helping make MATR what it is today. Even though there are some differences in the age, years of experience, and many other factors of our instructors, each one of them brings something valuable to the table. Some have engineering degrees, some teaching degrees, some have 30+ years of experience in various fields related to technical rescue. No matter what their level of experience, formal education, or other professional standings, each has a passion for technical rescue that has brought them to us and the rest is history. I am indebted to each of them for their contributions to our success. Thank you all.
You can click on each instructor for a brief biography of their fire/rescue and teaching experience.

A huge thank you also goes out to these "inactive" instructors who each gave us several years of their knowledge and expertise. Each of them was a part of our very first course and we could not have done it without them. Due to family and professional demands, they are currently not actively teaching with us...however they are very much a part of our history and would be welcome back with us at any time.
Monte Fitch, Battalion Chief, Montgomery County, Maryland Fire/Rescue
James Randall, Captain, Montgomery County, Maryland Fire/Rescue
Chase Fabrizio, Captain, Montgomery County, Maryland Fire/Rescue and Berwyn Heights Volunteer Fire Depatrment and Rescue Squad, Prince Georges County, Maryland
