Math and Physics for Rescue Technicians
Math and Physics for Rescue Technicians
"Truly Technical Rescue": Math and Physics for Rescue Technicians is our newest course offering. As the name implies, it is indeed a "technical" course. This 1-day course in mathematics and physics concepts is applied directly to technical rescue skills and scenarios. Each concept is discussed in detail through a comprehensive and interactive PowerPoint slide show. The concepts are further illustrated through numerous pictures of real world examples. Finally, each topic is "proved" through hands on demonstrations and exercises. There is no magic or any secrets in this course...WE PROVE EVERYTHING. This course will eventually encompass 3 different levels, each building on the previous and becoming more technical and difficult.
Level 1, entitled "Forces, Leverage, and Angles" began in early 2015. Every course was completely full and we still have folks on the waiting list for this course. It was clearly very popular and received rave reviews, drawing attendees from over 4 hours away! The course flyer is posted on our home page. Level 1 will start up again this winter, so keep an eye on this website and our Facebook page for announcements. Shortly thereafter, we will begin Level 2, so watch for that as well. Please check in with us if you have questions about this series of courses.
